JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for the management of the hotel operations with a focus on Food and Beverage and three core objectives employee motivation, customer service, and profitability.  Directs, implements, and maintains a hands-on service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to all team members. Ensures that all Acqualina 5 Star Standards (Forbes, Leading Hotels and AAA) are updated, communicated and delivered by Acqualina’s leaders and team members. Assists owners communicate Acqualina’s vision of customer service excellence, resolving problems/issues, employee engagement and planning for sustainable growth.

 

Directly oversees the Food & Beverage Areas and Partners, as well as oversees Spa, Front Office, Guest Relations, Housekeeping, Valet Parking, Pool & Beach Operation, Condominium Management Relations, Security and Facilities Management/Engineering. Works closely with VP of HR, VP of Sales & Marketing and CFO to ensure support teams respond to all needs and all financial objectives are met. Assists CEO on all branding initiatives.  Inspects and evaluates the work and performance of all guest and resident interfacing areas ensuring that all procedures are performed to the hotel's standards. Performs the daily responsibilities to ensure optimum service to guests/visitors inclusive of meeting hotels guests and residents.

REPORTS TO:      CEO & Partner

SUPERVISES:        All F&B Areas, KeuH, IL Mulino, Security, Engineering, and Front Office Operations, Reef Parking , Boucher Brothers, Housekeeping, as well as assists   all other areas that interface with guests and residents.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Entire property

Job involves working:

  • under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold).
  • under variable noise levels.
  • outdoors/indoors.
  • work on weekends.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal:                    All stakeholders                         

External:                   Resort guests/visitors, resident guest/visitors, outside contractors, vendors, and owners.                                                  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in management or equivalent.
  • 5 Years’ Experience in Food and Beverage operations.
  • Fluency in English.  Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of Forbes 5 Star Standards
  • Knowledge of Leading Hotels of the World LQA Standards
  • Knowledge of AAA 5 Diamond Standards
  • Thorough knowledge of hotel services and amenities.
  • Ability to compute basic arithmetic.
  • Familiarity with yield management and cost controls.
  • Input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling, requirements, and use of equipment
  • Ability to:
  • perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. prioritize and organize.
  • fill in for managers in F&B and other operations areas as needed.
  • be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgement.

  • Develop departmental budgets.

  • Desirable:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management
    • Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish.
    • Rooms Management experience in a Five Star Resort or Hotel.
