JOB OVERVIEW:
Responsible for receiving and documenting all goods and materials ordered by the Receiving Supervisor. The Receiving Clerk will refuse and document items not on the original P.O., damaged goods, or items that have passed their expiry date.
REPORTS TO: Director of purchasing & receiving
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Receiving Office, Receiving Dock and all Resort Storerooms, Refrigerators and Freezers.
Job involves working:
- Under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold).
- Under variable noise levels.
- Outdoors / indoors.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Staff in Receiving, Accounting, Department Managers, Executive Committee Members, all employees.
External: Resort guest/visitors and residents/guest/visitors vendors and contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Order processing systems and Spreadsheet software.

- Resort/Restaurant/Condominium experience.
- Experience with computers and calculators.
- Experience in Hospitality Industry in similar position.
- Previous guest relations training.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Essential:

- 2. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.

- 4. Remain in stationary position for 30 minutes throughout work shift.
