JOB OVERVIEW:
Provides information to guest/visitor inquiries and coordinates all guest requests for special arrangements or services, courteously and efficiently. Attends to immediate needs of all guests pre-arrival, throughout stay, and post-stay. Attends the needs of all permanent residents.
REPORTS TO: Front Office Manager, Chief Concierge, Concierge Supervisor.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Concierge Desk, guest rooms and service areas.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Staff in Front Office, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Restaurants, Engineering, Security, Sales, Accounting, Valet Parking, PBX, Bell, Door, Spa, and Executive Office.
External: Resort & Resident guests/visitors, designated service company personnel and vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
- Provide legible communication.
- Compute basic arithmetic.
- 1 year experience in a similar position in a 5 star style hotel/resort.
- Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers.
- Ability to:
- perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

- be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
- follow directions thoroughly.
- understand guest’s service needs.
- work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- work with minimal supervision.

- provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
Desirable:
- College degree or formal training in the Hospitality Industry.
- Previous experience as a Concierge in a luxury market.
- Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish.
- Knowledge of local attractions, services and suppliers/vendors.
- Certification of previous training in guest relations, liquor, wine and food service.
- Previous Culinary experience.
- Certification in an alcohol awareness program.
- Ability to suggestively sell.
- Certification in CPR.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Essential:
- 1. Frequent standing and walking throughout shift.
- 2. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
- 3. Reach overhead and extension up to 30 inches complete tasks at different levels.
- 4. Remain in stationary position for up to 8 hours throughout work shift.
- 5. Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
- Load and unload luggage from point of origin to destination.
- Lift, transfer and store heavy objects up to 60 pounds
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
